How a custom project works
Custom work should feel clear, not mysterious. Here's exactly what to expect from first conversation to final walkthrough, and how timelines and payments are handled along the way.

Consult
We start with a conversation about your space, how you want to use it, the look you're after, and a realistic budget and timeline. Site photos and rough measurements help; if you're local, we can visit.

Design
We take detailed measurements and produce drawings and material options — wood species, steel finish, hardware. Nothing is cut until you approve the design and a written quote.
- 03
Fabrication
Your piece is built in our Gallatin shop. Because metal and millwork happen under one roof, the steel and wood are made to fit each other exactly, with tight tolerances and clean welds and joinery.
- 04
Install
We deliver and install on-site, protecting floors and finishes as we work and cleaning up when we're done. Most residential pieces install in a day.
- 05
Walkthrough
We review the finished work with you, make any small adjustments, and explain care. We stand behind the craftsmanship of everything we build.

Lead time depends on scope and materials. A single handrail moves faster than a full kitchen — we give you a realistic schedule with your quote.
Quotes
Every project is priced individually and transparently. You approve the written quote before any work begins.
Payment
Custom work typically runs on a deposit to reserve your build slot and buy materials, with the balance due on completion. Exact terms are in your quote.
Changes
